Licensed by the province of B.C., naturopathic doctors have the same basic medical education and training as medical doctors, and then specialty training in natural medicine.  They are the only licensed physicians in B.C. that can diagnosis and treat illness and disease without drugs and surgery.  Dr. De Monte is also licensed to write drug prescriptions and does so when warranted by the condition.  Like medical doctors, they have malpractice insurance and are regulated by the province of B.C. through their professional college in Vancouver.  While natural medicines and therapies are used to provide immediate relief from symptoms, a major focus is to determine and treat the root cause of your health concern.  Successful treatment of the cause eliminates the symptoms and prevents a recurrence of the condition.
